Mike Cosley, an average high school kid, discovers a portal into a realm of fantasy and magic right in the back of his overstuffed closet. Is it whim or fate that makes him enroll at Bardsworth, prestigious school of magic?

Mike Cosley is just your typical high school loser - a bit of an outsider and occasional victim of bullying - who jumps at the opportunity to escape his mundane existence to study magic at Bardsworth. And then, there seems to be more to him than meets the non-magic eye.
Fawn is a fairy - creatures that, once they befriend you, will never leave you. Lucky for her, Mike needs all the friends he can get in this strange new world. She's cute, she's quirky, and just a tad mischievous.
Kris is Mike's roommate at Bardsworth. He's very laid back and calm, almost to a fault. Kris is pretty studious and has shown exceptinal skill and knowledge of magic.
Fizpot Fizzlebottom is a Grand Wizard, 3rd class, and Professor of Wizardly Studies at Bardsworth. His unimposing manner (he looks like 'a member of ZZ Top in a dress') and occasional absent-mindedness are likely hiding the possesion of vast arcane knowledge and powers. Rather effectively so.
Crystal is a cute elf girl that Mike finds himself smitten over. She's very friendly and takes a liking to Mike very quickly.
Keira is the personification of manic energy. Bubbly and overly cheerful, she doesn't seem to notice that Mike does all he can to stay away from her.

Francis is Fizpot Fizzlebottom's personal bodyguard, servant and cookie maker. A demon of imposing physique and matching strength, Francis is nevertheless permanently helpful, good-natured and even somewhat childish. Like all good servants, he can pop up from nowhere when needed.
Danyel is Crystal's older prankster of a brother. He makes it his duty to torture all incoming freshman.
Mom and Dad are Mike Cosley's Mom and Dad. Not quite as clueless as stereotypical parents, they realize that Bardsworth is no ordinary school - but they give in to a very convincing argument.
Tammy is Mike Cosley's elder sister, and fond of doing the typical elder sister stuff. Deep down, she likes Mike. But we are talking the 'Journey to the Center of the World' kind of deep down here.

Bardsworth is written and drawn by Peter Tarkulich out of Long Beach, CA. Peter was born in upstate New York, where he also went to school to study film, and has done other projects in writing as well as filmwork. He has a lengendary penchant for pie.
