[edit] Synopsis
The main protagonist, Lorelei, is a human cursed to be an immortal, unwilling werefox. Her would-be lover, a self-created werefox and powerful mage named Issac, chases her through several adventures as a primary antagonist.
Various character types proliferate this comic, including an anthropomorphic species that are viewed by the humans as second class citizens. While they are not the primary focus, the anthropomorphic animal characters known as Kaetif make up an "underclass" within the strip's world. In the comic world's history, this was not always the case. But it does well in reflecting humanity's dim views, as a general population, of anything 'different' from them.
This separation is an on-going theme, and part of the inner turmoil the main character fights within her mind and soul.

In a time when humans regard Kaetif as inferior, a very powerful Magus finds it in himself to become their champion. Lorelei resembles his long lost love in so many unique ways. Perhaps she is his love returned to life once more, or perhaps she is simply an unwitting pawn in a spiritual tug of war. In all, Lore must come to terms with her unique abilities, face off her inner demons, and come to terms with her true inner self in this action-oriented comic of High Fantasy.

Raekarta is a place of magic, spiritual energy, mystics, mages, bounty hunters, common folk and a unique race of anthropomorphic animals called the Kaetif. Mostly un-industrialized like the modern world we live in, Raekarta is a place where monsters -do- hide in the deep woods.
