[edit] Main Characters

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow

Daniel Parcius is the first recurring character seen in the comic, making his first appearance in strip #2[9]. While not terribly brilliant or courageous, he he somewhat genre-savvy and has also been known to serve as the protagonists' moral compass at times. He has on rare occasion demonstrated uncharacteristic quick thinking and cleverness, and has stood up to powerful foes to help his friends.

Neal Theodore was initially a cyborg soldier enslaved by the robot 01, before being defeated by Daniel and having the majority of his cybernetic implants removed. Some of his cyborg parts remain, primarily those on his face, as well as a device that allows him to change the sound of his voice. Neal is somewhat cynical and sracastic, occasionally remarking upon how badly the team's plans suck, even though he usually goes along with them. He tends to agree with Daniel on most matters and doesn't seem to mind his foolishness.

Crystal Aduro was also a minion of 01, though some of her cyborg systems were failing at the time of joining the protagonists[10]; the repurcussions of this are still not fully understood. She is more intelligent than either Daniel or Neal, and is frequently frustrated by Daniel's childishness, although she doesn't seem to particularly mind working with either he or Neal. She frequently acts as the team's strategist, but overall her plans tend to work only marginally better than those that Daniel come up with. She wears a black bandana to hide the fact that her head is mostly bald, a fact that she is slightly sensitive about.[11]

Tom Tsuwamono is a Lord in the employ of a peacekeeping military organization known as the Sky Knights, and was initally sent to arrest Daniel and Neal to keep them from meddling with a set of powerful magic crystals. He later joined the team when the Sky Knights became more friendly to Daniel and co. Tom has is presumed to have considerable militaristic leadership skills, and may see himself as the de facto leader of the team, though the others may not share this viewpoint. His weapon of choice is an ordinary Katana, which is frequently broken in half by enemy attacks, much to his frustration. Tom may have something of a crush on Crystal, but my too oblivious[12] to properly pursue it.
