Casey and Scotty is a webcomic created by the father and son team of Scott Tapp and Casey Tapp. The strip is set in the fictional town of Andbait, Texas. Subtitled "The Story of a Boy, his Dog and a Spaceship," Casey and Scotty is just that, the story of a boy, Casey; his dog, Scotty; and their spaceship, the U.S.S. Quisenberry.

Casey and Scotty debuted September 10, 2004. In the early days, the strip appeared sporadically until it settled into a regular Monday, Wednesday, Friday schedule in January 2005. Originally, Casey & Scotty was drawn in black & white, but the strip went to color full-time on September 16, 2005. In January 2006, the comic added special strips that give background information on Saturdays. The comic expanded to seven days a week on June 4, 2006, when it added Sunday. On August 21, 2006, creator Scott Tapp announced that the comic would be returning to being published only on a Monday-Wednesday-Friday schedule to enable him to spend more time with his family and gather more inspiration for the strip. Casey and Scotty has been on frequent hiatus, but returned to a 'no promises' once a week schedule on May 29, 2010, with new comics every Saturday.

Casey: Casey is a twelve year old boy who attends Andbait Middle School and plays football for Coach Bob and the Andbait Fighting Catfish.

Scotty: Scotty is Casey's four year old mixed breed dog.

Zack: Zack is Casey's eleven year old best friend and the Captain of the U.S.S. Quisenberry.

Moose: Moose is Casey's dad. He works long hours for some unidentified major corporation just so he can provide for Jenny and Casey.

Jenny: Jenny is Casey's mom.

Grandpa: Grandpa is Casey's Grandfather.

Coach Bob: Coach Bob is the Athletic Director for Andbait Middle School and the coach of the Fighting Catfish football team. He is also Casey's History Teacher.

Mr. Micheals: Mr. Micheals is the Principal of Andbait Middle School.

Mowbot: Mowbot is Casey's chief nemesis. It is a robot Casey made out of an old push lawn mower. Last seen when Casey opened a "Black Hole in a Can."

Vayda: Vayda is Casey's other nemesis. She is a twelve year old girl who thinks Casey is very, very cute.

The U.S.S. Quisenberry: The U.S.S. Quisenberry is Casey and Scotty's spaceship in which they go on grand adventures in outer space. It is named for former Major League Baseball pitcher Dan Quisenberry.

The 'M-1' : The 'M-1' is Mowbot's spaceship that it constructed out of debris found in a floating space "pick your part" lot.

Old Red: Old Red is Moose's 1966 Pick-up Truck.

The Golden Hawk: The Golden Hawk is Grandpa's classic Studebaker Golden Hawk automobile.

The Neo Schism: The Neo Schism is Jenny's car with 380,000 miles on it. It has survived a freak meteor shower, an encounter with Mowbot, and the wear and tear of hauling around kids and dogs.
