Dr Sheep and the Aardvark is a webcomic, created by James Spence, which debuted in January 1999 as a part of his weekly online journal, The Banter Bizarre. After three years as a footnote to the articles, the author ended the journal, and instead devoted his time to developing the comic strip.

Dr Sheep is a respected member of the Twilight Valley sheep community, until The Aardvark, a nameless Aardvark, literally drops out of the sky and turns his world upside down. The Aardvark suffers from amnesia and as such, cannot be held fully responsible for his bizarre actions. As the only resident of Twilight Valley who isn't a sheep, the Aardvark stands out from the crowd. As the story develops, we learn that the Aardvark's past is catching up with him, and the Aardvark's memories are very much in demand.
