The world of Eien is a world that is constantly at war. Legends of Eien will tell of a secret power that can be found in the ancient city of Haven. The only problem is that no one alive can remember where Haven is, and all records after the Haven era cease, to be continued over 100 years later. What happened during that 100 years for which there is no record? What is the secret power of Haven? As both sides in the conflicting war of Eien try to find the answers to these questions, the truth turns out to be more than expected.
Dieken knows none of this though...yet. Even with the war raging on, he has always wanted to be a knight, despite the fact that it is unheard of for commoners like him to do so. When he finally gets the chance to prove himself to everyone from the young but talented knight Adin Khtoyara, he'll find it more of challenge then he thought...especially dealing with the nobles! Can he survive the trials, defeat his enemy, and save the day?

[edit] The City of Haven
The title of this manga/comic comes from the city of Haven, which was an ancient city. It is the mystery and power of this city that acts as the general storyline for Haven, with the war fueling the fire to obtain Haven's power.
The city of Haven existed over 1000 years before most of the events in the Haven story line. It was named for a person, actually, who is only mentioned in the very first story of Haven, Haven - Epoch. There is some kind of secret power rumored to be hidden in Haven, but no one knows much about it.
Haven was supposed to have been a Utopian kind of city, where nothing bad ever happens.

Note: These are the characters for the current story I'm working on, which is Haven - Ethereal, the third one in the time line.
- Dieken Amayin - Dieken is the main character of the story. He is a street-wise street rat, who steals food for a living, and lives in an abandoned train station with his best friend and fellow orphan Alex. His ambition is to become a knight, even though he can't stand most of the nobles, and wants to "Show them how it's done". He gets his chance when he meets Adin Khtoyara though, much to the dismay of fellow knight apprentice Taro. Dieken is a bit of a prankster, and has a care free attitude. He can be cruel and blunt, but for the most part is kind.
- Taro Uche - Taro Uche is an apprentice knight under Sir Adin Khtoyara. He is extremely prideful and boastful to the point of arrogance, most notably on his name (Uche is one of the most ancient and powerful noble families) and on Adin, whom he is very proud to have tutoring him directly. That's why he can't stand it when Adin asks Dieken, a commoner, if he'd like to apprentice under him as well. He despised Dieken for this and wants to sabotage him in any way possible.
- Adin Khtoyara - Sir Adin Khtoyara is a knight of Rafailia, and he has two apprentice knights under him, Dieken and Taro. He is a half noble by blood, and quite some controversy was ensued when the King, Hiroei, knighted him. He is very skilled in battle, however, so much to his dismay, he has since been accepted into the noble society. Since he grew up for the most part away from the Rafailian nobles, he is able to see how shallow and sychophantic they are, and he despises them all the more for it. He sees everyone as equal, and is a very fair, just, and honest person, despite being a bit slow at times.
- Alexander Hime - More commonly known as 'Alex', he is an orphan who lives with, and is best friends with Dieken. Also a theif, he shows a bit more maturity and discression than Dieken.
- Ao Veraki - Ao is a knight of Rafailia. He is close friends with Adin, as he was once Adin's apprentice. At 18, he is tied with Adin as the youngest person to ever become a knight. Adin is 20 at the beginning of the story, so he had already been a knight for two years. Ao was just recently knighted.
- King Hiroei - A very wise and observant person, Hiroei is trying to change the ways of the Rafailian court back to the more chilvalrous ways of the past. He truly wants what is best for Rafailia, and despite being a very tolerant person, he has grown weary of the omniscient attitude of most nobles.
- Aku Madeshi - King of the kingdom of Drakar, and at the time of Haven - Etereal, he is currently waging war on Rafailia.
[edit] Time Line of Haven
Haven is actually a multi-time line story. It starts in the city of Haven itself, and next picks up over 1000 years later. I've decided to start this comic at the third storyline, and have plans to start the fourth later on this year. Following is a brief time line of events. This mostly deals with the war, and not with the events of the characters or Haven due to the fact that I don't want to give too much away.
Year -100 aprx - Year 0 - The city of Haven exists, and is destroyed. History before this is unknown, even to the residents of Haven at
- the time. ( Haven - Epoch time line (Part 1 of story) )
Year 0 - Year 100 aprx - No record of any history exists. Few remnants of Haven are found.
Year 0100 - Year 0995 - Various records of civilizations thrive. Two giant kingdoms are set up, the southern one known as Rafailia, ruled over
- by the Rafale family, and the other one known as Drakar,originally ruled by the Drakar family. A system of nobility is
- set up in both kingdoms. People live in relative peace, but as tensions between the two kingdoms worsen, conditions
- worsen.
Year 0995 - Year 1001 - First record of war between the two kingdoms. Ends with the death of the Drakarian king. ( Haven - Evanesce time line (Part 2 of story) )
Year 1001 - Year 1011 - Peace ensues between the two kingdoms
Year 1011 - Year 1017 - Second war between the two kingdoms recorded. ( Haven - Ethereal time line (Part 3 of story) )
Year 1017 - Year 1020 - Second war has ended but tension is still in the air as it wasn't entirely resolved. Assasination plot to kill the Rafalian King, Hiroei, is successful, yet full out war is
- not yet declared.
Year 1020 - Year 1031 - Unstable and unsteady peace exists.
Year 1031 - Year 1038 - Third and final war declared and fought. ( Haven - Entente time line (Part 4 of story) )
Year 1038 - Year 1052 - Peace again throughout the two kingdoms.
Year 1052 - Year 1053 - Final story timeline begins. Haven is sent back to nothing, from where it came. All loose ends resolved. ( Haven Enfin time line (Part 5 of story) )
Year 1052 - Year xxxx - And they all lived happily ever after...well, the ones that lived that is...
