Joyce Nicole Brown

Joyce Nicole Brown is a webcomic character who originally appeared in Roomies! on September 15, 1997.[1] After its completion she was one of the main characters in It's Walky!, and is most recently the co-star of Joyce and Walky.

She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Richard and Carol Brown on May 5, 1979. When she was 5 years old, she was abducted by aliens[2] but forgot this until the storyline It's... of It's Walky!

At Indiana University she was working towards a major in elementary education, and lived with her roommate Sarah. She met Danny in her maths class and immediately fell in love with him. While she attended the university, most of the storylines involving Joyce revolved around her pining for Danny and Danny rejecting her advances.

While attending Indiana University she was abducted by aliens again. This was significant when the aliens decided to kill all of their test subjects. The aliens noting her pure nature decided to kill her by forcing her to watch large amounts of pornography until viewing the material killed her. When Joyce was saved from the aliens she was taken to S.E.M.M.E with a fictional death created for her. While at S.E.M.M.E she remained unconscious. The doctors attempted to determine what was wrong with her and what the aliens had done to her, but their only clue were the lines from the pornography that she occassionally mumbled.

When Walky said "D'oh" in Joyce's prescence, she recited a line from the Sound of Music. At first the doctors are skeptical of this, but as Walky continues to prompt Joyce for lines and she delivers them, they believe him. Walky sings Doh, a deer, a female deer along with Joyce and once they reach the end, she suddenly awakens. When Walky leads her to a room where the aliens are being kept and leaves her alone with them, the alien tells her of a device that is near it's tank that will wipe her mind, allowing her to regain her purity. She does so, and the alien then convinces Walky to put her back into bed and not tell the doctors what happened. When the doctors discover Joyce's mind wiped once more, they conclude it must have been an activated fail safe mechanism, which concerns them as with each mind wipe the brain loses a bit of its integrity.

After her self-inflicted mind wipe, her doctor decided to make her a S.E.M.M.E operative and to be trained to fight aliens.

During the storyline It's... in It's Walky!, Joyce was responsible for stopping the head alien, by revealing that Walky had been abducted along with her, when she was younger.[3]

When Joyce was cloned by the dup-o-matic from Melonpool, the portion of her that she had been regressing her entire life materialised in her clone. The clone wreaked havoc with her friends by being sexually active, and continued until the original Joyce confronted her, at which point her nature came to light. During a verbal and physical fight, the clone was killed by Joyce.
