Klio is the creator of SPQR Blues, an ancient Roman mystery/soap, and Daily Angst, an ad-hoc autobiographical strip. Her real name appears to be Carol, and she appears to live in New York and work in publishing.
According to her autobiographical work, Klio had to re-learn how to draw after suffering repetitive strain injury at work. Cartoonist Donna Barr advised her that after drawing 10,000 images it would start to come naturally to her, so, starting on 12 June 2005, she made an assault on the magic number on her website 10,000 Drawings, beginning with a series of observational and autobiographical strips under the title Daily Angst. On 20 November 2005 she began interspersing them with episodes of SPQR Blues, now mirrored on LiveJournal. She also contributes to Strip Fight.
