Magician's Quest is an online comic created by Animetor Lily. Drawn in the popular Japanese manga style, the comic is an ongoing serial with a complex storyline spanning several chapters. The actual webcomic is hosted separately from the main website on two popular comic hosting websites, DrunkDuck! and Comic Dish. The pages are presented in the standard black and white toned comic pages in addition to certain fully colored pages. The storyline involves fighting/action scenes generally found in shounen genre comics.

Magician's Quest follows the story of Jade, a pessimistic black mage who seeks revenge on the legendary beast that destroyed his village and family. On the start of his journey, he finds himself befriending Kai, an overly happy girl from the country who dreams of becoming an adventurer. Kai herself is seeking the answer as to why she looks different from other people. Although he finds this strange girl annoying most of the time, Jade agrees to travel with her eastward, to the land of the long-forgotten Elves; the land where all Magick is said to have been born. Later on their journey they meet with other traveling companions, Luo, May, and Fei Li.
Meanwhile unknown to them, a dark presence is planning to destroy the very world they live in...

The world of Magician's Quest (MQ) revolves around the six Dragons, whose existence determine the balance of magic and their elements in Gaea. Prior to the 'War of Magicks', there were Elves, Dragons, Black Mages, White Mages, and ordinary Humans. The humans harbored a secret fear of Elves and all things associated with magic. Green eyes are considered as an association to magic, and those born with them are often shunned from general society. Humans are very rarely born with green eyes; only the Elves are always born with such color eyes.
After the war, the humans unjustly blamed the Black Mages for its cause, and exiled them from the Kingdom of Zenith. The Elves too mysteriously went missing after the war, and people ceased to have any memory of their existence. The royals declared a ban on the usage of magic, and executed those who are associated with it. Only the White Mages were exempted from this law due to their abilities of healing.
The environment surrounding the characters is mostly wild, untamed and ridden with often dangerous monsters. Because of this, large cities are few with some small towns and villages in between. The most commonly used currency is Rien, the value of which is determined by using bronze and silver coins. Gold is calculated as its own currency, as it is rarely to be found.

Currently there are 3 volumes of the manga available online. Magician's Quest : Volume 1 is estimated to be released in print format soon, compiling the first five chapters from the online version and an extra side story chapter.
The list of chapters online are as follows:
- Prologue, In which the reader is introduced to young Kai, her grandfather and the start of her (mis)adventure.
- Boy Meets Girl, In which Jade and Kai meet for the first time. Kai is wounded in a fight with a Bark Troll, and is healed by Jade.
- Childhood Rivals, Jade and Kai is confronted by Daryl, an outlaw, and meets Luo, a childhood acquaintance/rival to Jade.
- The Zenith Outlaws, In which the reader learns a little of Jade's past, and is introduced to the rest of Luo's outlaw gang.
- Our Paths Cross, After going their separate ways in the previous chapter, Jade and Kai are reunited in the small town of Imory, where Jade's mentor sends them off on a journey to the lands of the Elves.
- City Girl May, In which the reader meets May, a pretty girl from the city who is attracted to Jade and decides to travel with them.

- Gaea - The world the story takes place in.
- Kingdom of Zenith - The largest and most dominant ruling body in Gaea. Also the name of the imperial city.
- Elements - The natural forces of nature. There are six elements total in the world; Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Shadow and Light.
- Magick - An unnatural power that is used by utilizing the power of the elements. Can be used as a means of healing or destruction.
- Elves - Also known as 'the fair folk'; an elusive people strongly in tune with the elements of Magick. Looks almost human with the exception of green eyes, pointed ears and strange hair color.
- Black Mages - Humans with the power to utilize the elements of nature, usually to the purpose of 'destruction'. They are unable to utilize the usage of 'white' magic such as healing and the usage of 'Summon Stones'. Mostly associated with the element Fire and Wind.
- White Mages - Humans with the power of healing and creation. Unlike the black mages, they cannot directly utilize magic in its pure elements form, and can only use magic from element stones known as 'Summon Stones'. Mostly associated with the element of Water and Earth.
- Summon Stones - Rare gemstones that have certain element properties stored within.
