Millennium is a cartoon fantasy webcomic with manga-influence, drawn and written by Jessica "Senshuu" Cantlope. After a four-year run, it completely restarted with full-color artwork and a revamped story. It currently aims to update on Fridays. It is a part of the WebComic Planet Collective.

[edit] Plot Summary

Millennium chronicles the adventures of two young Magi who head out from their small village in order to seek out the source of the Senshuu, a vague natural phenomenon that has evidently occurred once every thousand years. To do this, they must wake the four Spirits that reside in their land and ask them for help. And they have to do it soon: the dawn of year 3000 approaches. Will the Spirits know what's been going on? And who are the people who're already in the know...?

An original adventure fantasy (not like classical or "high" fantasy) and slightly cartoony in nature with an air of whimsy and humor.

• Ronou Hinta: Age 16, a Wind Mage of Human race, and the main character. He volunteered to be the one in his village to investigate the Senshuu when the time comes. He has an shakable determination, especially when backed by his friends.
• Mune Kitian: Age 16, a Water Mage/Healer of Human race, and Ronou's best friend. More mature and slightly stronger than Ronou, she knows how to balance his shortcomings. She is at her best when helping him.
• Sabér Sakeou: Age 18, a Spearman of Booman race. He's not very sociable, as he has been alone for a long time. He has a deep-ingrained need to protect things sacred to him.
• Sarn Manta: Age 23, a Fire Mage/Dinosaur Tamer of Canan race. Raised in a dark and unknown syndicate, not much is understood about him, not even by his peers. They do know, however, that he is a crude, vulgar, near-pyromaniac.

Magi are taught to perform Magi-mani, the practice of manipulating the elements Air, Water, Fire, and Earth. A group of four Magi specializing in each is called a "Square".

As Seldra is a very varied land, many different races of people have come to live and develop on it, including Humans (a minority), Kaamen (reptillians), Canen (canines), Fenin (felines), Boomen (baboons), Bremen (birds), and more.

The world of Millennium is rich with both animals from familiar fantasy history and original creations. Included in this are

• Dragons (of the more traditional type in Seldra, in which the story is set)
• Gryphons (rare)
• Cho ikii (animals with "magical blood" allowing them to manipulate elements like Magi)
• Various Dinosaurs
• Chokara (canine-reptiles)
• Fairies
• Unicorns (in times long passed)

Millennium is mainly created using a combination of Sai (for sketches, lineart, and backgrounds) and Photoshop (for foreground cel-shading).
