Nadya

Nadya is an ongoing webcomic about a parallel universe created by D0m and Ariel. It began on May 26, 2007 on Drunk Duck. Its genre is a mixture: predominantly, fantasy, action/adventure and sci-fi. It is usually in full color, digitally inked and painted.

Nadya, an elven woman, wakes up in a universe parallel to hers after dying. After searching for help, she meets Charna, an Immortal. Charna's purpose is to protect Nadya throughout the future.

[edit] Chapter One: Reborn

In chapter one, Nadya is reborn into another dimension after her death. She is found by Charna, a self-proclaimed "Immortal" who can take the shape of shadows. They travel to the Shadowlands until they reach a location in the outskirts, where Charna is fatally shot with a magical beam by two henchmen who were told to find and seize her. Nadya was asked to come with the two henchmen.

[edit] Chapter Two: Immortal

In chapter two, Charna comes back from her fatal injuries and incapacitates Eisner and Fyline. Charna takes Nadya into a cave where she'll be safe from Fritjor. A flashback occurs right after Charna runs into him, in which her youthful form is presented thirty years prior. She commissions her pet owl to find her husband, Nikolai (whom she accuses Fritjor of killing in the present time). Currently, Fritjor is dead. Fyline wakes up from her incapacitation and thinks that Charna is her daughter. Charna decides to take Fyline under her wing (partly because she is an Inquisitor) and leaves to find Nadya. The Queen, however, left her post at the cave and walks to places unknown.

Nadya (the Queen) is a female elf in a 21 year old body. Mentally, she is 34- the age at which she was killed. Her personality is snarky and bitter: a result of her environment. She was born into a wealthy family, married into an even wealthier one, and ruled for years before her death. Currently, she is attempting to make sense of why she is still alive, where she is supposed to go, and why Charna seeks to protect her.

Little is known of the red-headed female whom Charna knocked unconscious. She is still alive, however. As of Chapter Two, we now know that she is (or was) an "Inquisitor of high rank" (according to Charna).

Eisner is a male human from a parallel universe. Not much is known of him so far, but he speaks Portuguese and has two bracers that conduct lightning. He sustained a death-dealing blow from Charna and is presumed dead. His body was used in an arcane necromancy spell that replenished Charna's youth.

The Immortals are a group of Reborn who collectively wanted to exploit their powers and rule those who were weaker than them. They were imprisoned in the Blight as a result of their behavior.

Charna Glazunov is a female human who can transform her body into a type of synthetic shadow at will. In her shadow form, she has the strength and speed of three men. After killing Fritjor, she performed an arcane necromancy spell and regained her youth.
