Planet Saturday® Comics is a webcomic created by husband and wife team Monty S. Kane (writer and illustrator), and Kelli S. Kane (editor). It debuted in June 2006 at www.planetsaturday.com, and began appearing on Modern Tales in September of 2007. The comic continues to be available on both sites.
From June 2006 to February 2008, a complete story was posted on the first day of every month. On Leap Day 2008, Planet Saturday® Comics made the leap to a one page per week update schedule.
The first print collection, Planet Saturday® Comics, Volume One was released on Thanksgiving 2008, and contains the first year's worth of comics. The book was chosen as Comics Buyer's Guide's "Indy Pick of the Month" for May 2009 (issue # 1653).

Planet Saturday® Comics follows the real and imaginary adventures of an introverted kid who grows up to be a happy, if somewhat hapless, dad. Some of the stories are about his relationship with his daughter; others are vivid revisitations of a childhood spent daydreaming about dinosaurs and superheroes. Silly, thoughtful, and lavishly illustrated, these are stories about the imaginary worlds we inhabit as children, and the glimpses back into them we get as parents.
