From Comixpedia
Created by Rebekka 'ReincarnatedParano' Hearl, it's new version was started in October 2007. It is currently being on hosted on several different websites, including DrunkDuck and SmackJeeves. It is updated every Saturday currently with colour pages. This is soon to switch back to black and white, and when this happens it is suspected that the number of update days will be increased.

[edit] Plot
The plot's setting is a futuristic and dystopian version of a changed Earth, where humans have almost completely been wiped out by a new reigning species, 'mutants', during a cross-species War seven years prior to the main plot. Mutants themselves are combinations of human and Daivel - this dimension's version of animals - and the result is a human-like body with animalistic features, eg. a tail etc. Most are now controlled by 'Crystals' - devices implanted in the back of their right hands that link to the nervous system and brain; they, in effect, program them to hate humans and obey the instigator of the War and their master, Managa.
The opening Prologue shows the four main characters as well as an enemy in a long metallic corridor with no one else around. The enemy stands victorious after having defeated the rest of Andrew's comrades; Cody in particular seems to be in a bad way. Andrew, however, seems nervous of attacking the enemy.
The reason for this is revealed as the enemy is seen to be another human. At the end of the page four it is obvious that the enemy will not let him go, and Andrew steels himself to fight.
[edit] Characters
Andrew Markus Hawkeye: One of the last remaining humans, he is still a teenager but seems determined in his ways. A sweet, gentle person who seeks to help those in trouble. His ultimate goal is to find the last humans and bring down the Managian regime. Weapon of choice: katars - two knife-like weapons that cover both arms, and he keeps them hidden up his sleeves.
Alexis Thornton: Closest friend to Andrew and very protective of those close to him. A cheerful man, but he also has a vicious temper backed up by his impressive strength. He apparently has heterochromia, as his right eye is coloured violet. A canine-mutant. Weapon of choice: bare fisted, a knife hidden in his boot.
Cody Marr: Irritable, snappy and short-tempered, Cody acts as the team's hacker and retriever of information. His heritage trained him to be a skilled thief; he is sitting on a goldmine that he won't share, as he hacks money from banks as a hobby. He claims to enjoy testing the banks' new security systems, and breaking them. A feathered-mutant, though his right wing is clipped, and he cannot fly. Weapon of choice: two magnum guns he keeps in his deep pockets.
Celcia Finetta: Sweet, gentle and quite high-maintenance due to her rich heritage, Celcia is nervous about fighting. She is apparently skilled in protecting herself and others, but she can run a lot faster and it's her preferred method also. She cares deeply for her friends and wanted to protect and help them, but struggles to find the courage to do so. A feline-mutant. Weapon of choice: a decorated crossbow.
More characters to be introduced as they are in the comic.
[edit] Trivia
- Rebekka Hearl actually started writing the 'RAID' project itself when she was only 6; needless to say it has undergone countless changes since then. The author enjoyed writing the story and cared for the characters too much to just let it die, and thus continued it in a media that she enjoyed.
- RAID is affiliated with two other up and coming webcomics, Playing God and DragonShard, characters from which are expected to make cameos within the chapters.
