Slither and Friends (S&F) is a webcomic created by Michael Dean that features an assorted cast of animals mostly native to the American Midwest. The series first appeared on the web in 2004 on the DrunkDuck hosting site. Since then it has moved to its own site. The comic has recently been reformatted with an improved interface and updates on a thrice-weekly basis.

The strip follows the adventures of Slither J. Garter, a snake who has returned to his ancestral homeland, the Plateau, to make a life for himself. However, thanks to his absurd and needlessly reckless personality, Slither often finds himself in a great deal of trouble. The full-color strip displays a great deal of wit while simultaneously appealing to comic readers of all ages.
