Sordid City Blues is a webcomic graphic novel by Charles Schneeflock Snow. It centers around the lives of four characters: Charlie, Brandi, Edna, and Luther. Sordid City Blues deals with complex issues of religion, sex, body image, relationships, and sometimes, skeeball. It was a 2006 nominee for "Outstanding Romantic Comic" in the Web Cartoonist's Choice Awards (Charles Snow also presented the 2005 award for "Outstanding Writer").
Sordid City Blues is a dominantly black and white comic although spot colour is used to identify and accentuate the key players. Each key character has one item or clothing detail colored a specific color.

- Brandwyn "Brandi" Elsinor Riggles
- Represented by the color pink is Brandi who is 23 years-old. She loves philosophy, thai food, David Lynch movies, and wise cracking. She has a bad body image but is not bothered by it so long as she's getting what she wants sexually. She is in love with Charlie though knows he still has feelings for Edna.
- Charles "Charlie" David Cane
- Represented by the color red, Charles is a 24 year-old who loves comic books, porn, Dungeons & Dragons, Brandi, and Edna. Edna and Charles have a history with each other and Charlie is still working out his issues with that breakup. Presently he is dating Brandi with whom he is well suited. He is a cartoonist who is often found drawing an anthropomorphic versions of himself and his friends.
- Edna Sylvia Slink
- Represented by the color light-green, Edna is 25 years-old, loves sunlight, dancing, and dogs. She poses in the nude for her artist friend Spiro. She is in love with Luther but much to his dismay, she is not religious.
- Luther Herbert Fish
- Represented by the color blue, Luther is 25 years-old. Luther loves both God and Edna (wherein lies no small amount of conflict). Luther is the frontman for an indie rock band named "Owns Big Mecha."
- Mynah
- Represented by the colour orange. An old flame and high-school chum of Charlie's. She has a mischievous streak. Her father is a Christian minister.
- Bartholomew "Barkey" Klee
- Represented (from Chapter 51, "Road") by the color yellow. Luther's good friend and bass player. Sort of Christian, and mad for girls.
- Yoshimi Leszek
- Represented (from Chapter 51) by the color purple. The drummer in Luther's band, also works at the same record store as Luther. A drummer who formerly played in a Christian band but decided she preferred "a band full of heathens."

- Frontman for the indie band "Moving Target," friend of Edna and admired by Luther.
- Olga
- JRB's wife and childhood friend of Charlie's.

- Luther and Charlie's roommate.
- Spiro
- A sharp-dressing artist friend of Edna's for whom she poses in the nude and in whom she confides regularly. In the bedroom Spiro prefers the company of a man.
- Vercingetorix "Verci"
- Edna's dog. Verci got lost in the first chapter and it was Luther who found him and returned him to Edna.
- Paul Leszek
- Yoshimi's husband, a medical student.
