The Adventures of Pathos & Bathos is a webcomic written and "drawn" by Drrk entirely on Microsoft Paint. The concept came gradually when he first imagined two characters depicted as icons, taboos or archetypes trapped together in a state of limbo. Having the title already in mind, he decided that the Greek masks of Tragedy and Comedy would be the faces of his only characters.

Unable to draw and lacking the time, talent, software and ambition, Drrk resorts to using photos as backgrounds to emphasize the states of nowhere and everywhere in which his two characters find themselves. In some instances, the background photos will tie in with an element in the dialog.

The mark of imminent failure in any comedy is the introduction of new characters. This webcomic being a failure to begin with, the character of Ethos was introduced in Episode XVI. Drrk kept with the character conceit and found an appropriate Greek mask to slap on a clip-art cat in constant fright. Ethos was initially introduced to add a kind of balance for the two foils, but has yet to find his niche. Drrk is working on it.

Supporting characters include the main characters' multiple love interests from failed relationships. While named for the sake of the comic at hand, they are never mentioned more than once. Pathos has dated the occasional celebrity, such as Jessica Simpson (Episode I) and Paris Hilton (Episode XL).

Mythos: Mythos is mentioned in passing as Bathos's girlfriend, but she has never made an appearance.

Billy from Family Circus: Ethos needed a break from the dregs of his comic world and decided to straighten up and fly right with Billy from Family Circus in Episode XXXV
